This is a typical zombie film, the film use low key lighting so the zombies look more evil and dangerous. The use of the colour red is also a major convention of a zombie film as it is the same colour as blood. you can also see the consistency in other poster such and the Resident Evil poster.

A comedy film is usually done in high key lighting to show the light hearted  atmosphere. a comedy is normally set during the day. costumes are usually casual dependent on the character or if there is a joke being made. the editing in a comedy film is normally straight cuts so the film looks better and makes everything seem happy and calm.

The Last Exorcism is a ideal horror film to look at. Horror films in general have many stereotypical features to them. For example, when we think of horror, we think of darkness as it is a major part of all horror films. costume is also a major part of all horror film because the antagonists always have some sort of mask or make up to make the characters unrecognizable to the viewers. the editing of a horror film is usually fast, using lots of jump cuts to express the panic and danger of what is happening through the film.
